Have y'all noticed any funky software issues with your ID.4 Pro? So, today I was leaving my garage and tried to close the door using the mirror button, but it just wouldn't budge. I kept pressing it, but no luck. Anyone else faced this hiccup? What's up with it suddenly not working?

I’ve encountered the same with my ID.4 as well. Sometimes, the mirror button doesn’t respond due to a temporary software glitch or connection issue. A quick reset, like turning the car off and back on, seems to fix it. It’s one of those odd quirks that occasionally happens with the tech in newer vehicles.

Hey, I've learned about this from a forum post.

A person from Volkswagen of America knew about the problem, they didn’t specifically tell us that the fix was part of the 3.1 update. This is because VoA didn’t have full details on what Volkswagen Group (VWAG) was doing with the software at the time, especially when everyone thought an Over-the-Air (OTA) update was coming soon.

The person who wrote this also says they never tried to recreate the error after getting the update, because they're unsure if the issue still exists. Hope this helps

Thanks for sharing this! It’s good to know, though I agree, this kind of behavior can happen with software glitches. The solar activity could definitely have had an impact on mine.:) Appreciate the heads-up

Thanks for this info! It’s helpful to know that the fix might be tied to the 3.1 update, even if it wasn’t clearly communicated. I appreciate the insight!

I’ve had a few weird software glitches with my ID.4, though my mirrors have been fine so far. I’d check if there’s a pending OTA update, and maybe try a soft reset by holding down the volume knob until the screen restarts. If more owners report this, maybe we need to flag it to VW as a wider software issue.
