ID.4 charging port flap problem

I'm having issues with my Volkswagen! The charging flap won't open, and it feels like something is stuck. The dealer suggested it could be the "actuator." Is anyone else experiencing this problem? Is this a common issue with Volkswagens? My car is still under warranty, so hopefully this is a quick fix.

Try releasing it using the manual pull cord located inside the trunk.

I had to get my charging door replaced after I had to forcefully open it. Also had the actuator replaced.

It's doing good now.

Boatman, did you have to pay to have it replaced as same as just happened with mine, we also had to force it open and warranty is out by 8 weeks

Oh this sh*t happened to me, my VW's charging flap was not opening. It turned out to be a faulty actuator, just like the dealer mentioned. It was covered under warranty, so they replaced it quickly.
